Then every car was an obstruction because he was overtaking at speed consecutive ones and doing so on a stretch of road with corners every few 100 yards or so. So overtaking was often done close to corners.

Sorry about the pic being blurry as it was taken on my phone but I do remember the plate vividly. It is easy to remember. Coming back from a day out in Pickering in North Yorkshire travelling up the B1257 to Stokesley this silver SEAT Leon displayed what I thought to be the most unbelievable impatience as he leapfrogged each car in line and at speed on a country lane where at any moment another car could be coming the other way. Bizarre thing was this was not the only one.
