Sadly an ignorant and arrogant driver who considers himslef more important then any other road user. We all need to give and take on the public roads. They are not just for cars, horses, tractors, sheep, cows, pedestrians and cyclist to freely use. Marshals are there to keep all users safe.

"From a legal perspective cyclists are there by right, cars by privilege"

If that is true (can't be arsed looking) it's an archaic rule that need changing to show we are in the 21st Century.

Without being picky the police do not/cannot give permission for a road closure only the county council can give permits to....in some cases the district council as well.

You only notify the police to make them aware more than anything...

Either way bit of an arse of a driver.

Ignoring instructions from a marshall during a temporary road closure during a police escorted cycle race and entering the course. Also in charge of a motor vehicle whilst using a mobile phone.

couldn't wait 1 minute for a legal road closure
