I've re-looked at it again (and again!), and he really was on the crossing in good time before you got to it - and it looks as though you walked pretty close up to the side of his van... It also appears from the audio that you clearly weren't happy before you were crossing and swore as you started to cross, maybe he saw you get close and also maybe heard you and didn't like that?
Also being "aware of pedestrians approaching from the side of the crossing", as you point out, does not mean that you have right of way.
Honestly, looking at the video, he looks as though he went through quite legitimately. The driver's reaction might be due to your actions? Just food for thought...

It was the drivers reaction which was the issue for me DA. I crossed at the crossing but he appeared to take issue with that.
It struck me that he was aware of the HC guidance to:
"be aware of pedestrians approaching from the side of the crossing." It was this that triggered his evident defensiveness.

To be honest Jim, from the camera view, he didn't do anything wrong - and I don't normally stick up for White Van man!
You hadn't actually got to the Zebra crossing by the time he was already committed to driving over the crossing. He only needs to give way to you when you are actually on the crossing - pedestrians do not have right of way until they are actually on the crossing. He probably didn't quite have enough room to clear the crossing, but only by a matter of a few inches.
