This white van, cut in front of the car on a
major A road whilst approaching a junction. To which we both passed the lights, when suddenly the white van applied his breaks again for no reason nearly causing a crash. He then continued to processed up the road driving close behind the car in front then breaking hard, causing us behind to apply the breaks suddenly furthermore the car behind had to emergency break

Ever consider "a safe driving distance"?

Whereby you wouldn't need to brake heavily when the vehicle in front brakes

Or are you the sort of driver that needs to get there 10 mins before anyone else

Brakes, for heavens sake. Cars have brakes. You take a break when you have a kit-kat, which you typically break in half, but when you apply the brakes in a car you are braking. Go it?
