Surprised that people are trying to defend the driver. Plain and simple - he drove completely across a lane of traffic without checking that it was safe. The onus is upon the person doing the manoeuvre to check that it's safe to do so.

Yes the motorcyclist is going fast - but they've left enough space between themselves and the queuing traffic to reasonably expect safe passage. As long as they're within the speed limit.

Judging from the way this guy drove, the motorcyclist could have been going at half the speed and the guy would still have swung out without checking first.

The motorcyclist did leave sufficient space between their bike and the queuing traffic..but..they were still in the driver's blind spot. Travelling fast means a driver has very little time to react. I don't think it's acceptable to state that as long as one is within the speed limit its ok - you have to drive in accordance with the conditions.

Ask anyone on a push-bike what's it like to encounter this situation. The roads in this country are often small and badly-designed and people will let other road users across as they did in this video, which unavoidably means cutting across the segregated lane. The motorcyclist should have anticipated this hazard; it's no different to driving a car at 30 mph next to a crowd of people. The slower you drive the more time everyone has to react. You cannot assume everyone else knows what they're doing, either. You cannot assume they will automatically stop. You cannot assume they will automatically see you. Can you see where I'm coming from? I think that had the motorcyclist been riding at less speed then there wouldn't have been such an issue. When I ride a push-bike in a cycle lane past turnings and junctions there is categorically no way I'd do so at this speed. No way on earth. It's suicidal.

There's no way this guy could have seen you at the speed you were travelling down stationary traffic. You should have been taking more care and motorbikes may be allowed down the lane, but not at peak times, and I notice there's no time on the video and that looks like a pretty busy time of the day to me, which makes it a bit suspicious.
You also confronted the guy with your helmet on and didn't even have the politeness to take it off, which can be intimidating.
You're just a bit of a moaning arse really arn't you? What's the matter, couldn't you pass your driving test so you had to do with a moped?

These kinds of things happen. I've had it done to me no end of times whilst on a bike; all you can do is read the road and be prepared to stop. I'd say the camera guy was going a bit too fast and that he was in the driver's blind spot. Someone flagged the driver on and the driver assumed it was OK to turn. The only thing I would say to the driver is turn a bit slower. But apart from that I really can't see the problem.

Yes it may be a 30 limit, but that's a maximum not a target.
Aggressive not defensive riding, with the stationary traffic reducing vision it would have been safer to have reduced speed accordingly and increased reaction time on both sides.
Looks like the car driver had committed to the turn well before the bike would have been visible at that speed.

If you confronted me like that then I'd probably act defensive as well. Fair enough he should have looked before he leaped, but your reaction was completely unjustified.
