Motorcycles are permitted in the bus lane
Having said that, what time of day was it? Limited hours of operation for the bus lane, it is possible that the car driver could have used that lane as well.

What's the dick on a motorbike doing in a bus lane ffs

AFAIK bus lanes are for buses and cyclists only unless additional road signage permits.

Therefore had the dick on a motorbike been riding correctly then there would be no misunderstanding.
