Let's say you were the driver, and look at YOUR actions shall we?
The camera shows you behind another road user, prior to a single lane splitting into two lanes. The cyclist was avoiding the door zone.
You approached the cyclist perilously close; this whilst on the approach to the lane split and a red light. You then veer into the left-hand lane without indication. Had you over-taken the cyclist you would have cut them up, forcing them to take evasive action. The cyclist had every right to adopt their position and regardless of your motive, you had NO right whatsoever to do what you did.
Taxation. You say you pay taxes..And? Paying taxes does not give you right of way; it doesn't even give you priority over other road users including cyclists. Furthermore you do not pay directly for roads, nobody does. The tax you pay on your car is a tax on the car, not on roads; it is neither a tax nor fee to use them. Roads are actually funded through general taxation - hence almost everyone pays regardless of whether they walk, use public transport, cycle, ride a motor-bike or drive. "Road Tax" does NOT exist.
You say you have dash-cam footage. Great. Please provide a link and I'll have a look at it in its entirety the same way I've looked at this. Looking forward to it. Have a good day.
