05:26 your speedometer shows you were doing 54 then cut only 2-3 mph despite the other car cutting into your lane. You should have increased the gap for you own safety and that of others. Under-taking (not filtering) to do same is a bit hypocritical on your part, is it not? You did the same in response. Yes the other driver should not have done what they did, but I will tell you this from experience mate: red mist kills.
05:13. You could have startled him, making him turn around into your path. You might also risk a public order offence. Yes what he did was in my opinion stupid, but that doesn't mean should up the ante or is this only about getting street cred and views?
You positioning was terrible as well. You didn't even slow down much or deviate; you were like a guide missile, headed for their direction, just to prove a point. You put everyone at risk there mate.
It's no use saying you had full beams. The conditions were poor and your speed is such that you make it extremely difficult for other people to approximate your position, especially when you hit belt the throttle. You're appearing almost from nowhere, in people's blind spots. Further they don't just have you to think about. IF they did it in purpose then sure, they're in the wrong, but if you slowed down and kept your speed consistent as best as possible you'd have much less chance of hitting people. There's no way I'd filter that fast because as far as I'm concerned it's not riding in accordance with the conditions.
First clip. The the best of my understanding it's a private road with public access however the signs have little to no legal binding. Also the pedestrians weren't technically on the crossing; they were in the pedestrian refuge. I know it might seem crazy and it's the reason why I tend to avoid using zebra crossings. Unless you physically put your foot on the crossing, you are not technically using the crossing. The moment you do, traffic MUST stop both sides. If this was a public road the other driver would fail a test; however once they pass their test nothing would happen. Yes people, it's crazy..
Also this. As the other car was turning right their view was partially obscured by the car to their right, as well as the signs and foliage adjacent to the pedestrians. They may may also have assumed, as they turned, that the only reason you were waiting was so as not to become stationary on the crossing. Just saying.
Clearly th biker is driving far too fast and should slow down.
You do not own the road you bastard.
Hopefully one day someone will give you a good beating as you deserve it.
Cunt.
His wide eyes seem to suggest drink and/or drugs. And also this - waving one's hand in people's face is never a good idea, no matter how skilled a fighter you think you are. And if you think the law is on your side? Think again. Enter someone's personal space in such a manner, causing them to feel threatened, and they can strike you in self-defense AND you will be arrested for common assault (that's right: you don't even have to touch them). Don't be a prick towards people simply riding their bike in a safe and respectful manner!
Footnote to my last comment: this is in no way intended to be a threat of any kind on my part. I don't know him, but I have come across people with a seemingly similar attitude, who shall we say, like to get a bit too close for comfort..
