The driver of this grey CLA went into the back of my car on the 8th August in Harlow, Essex at around 40mph when I was stationary, and drove off. He left around £2,500 worth of damage, and went into the back of me so hard that the Mercedes badge was imprinted into my boot. I was left very shaken up and in mild pain, so I didn’t manage to catch the number plate as he sped off so fast meaning I couldn’t catch him.
Today someone managed to spot the exact car mimicking the damage that was done to mine, and the number plate was one that I recognised straight away (I was just a few digits out). My friend took a picture of the car so they could send it to me, the driver immediately got out of the car and
used foul and homophobic language threatening my friend, calling him a ‘gay c**t’. He is a disgusting excuse for a man and should be held fully accountable.

You mentioned that you was hit at 40MPH? I'd be very surprised if that was the same car if it was just the badge (and number plate it seems) that came off.
Speaking of which, if that did fall off, why didn't you collect the debris or did the (Merc) driver do that before driving off?
Either the speed was greatly exaggerated or this isn't the right car.
