Of course, people make mistakes - cyclists included. It's a human condition. But much of the time I see people just being selfish morons for the sake of it..see a bike? Must get in front; must squeeze past; fuck them I come first and I pay road tax; I have more rights on the road than them and I can invent my own laws to suit. This is the very attitude you see on Britain's roads and I am all for reforming our Highway Code and our laws to make the penalties much stiffer. Same for cycling like an asshole or cycling without lights but I am digressing there (sorry).

This is also why it's important to assert your space. You have that right. Many motor-cyclists do it stop stupid over-taking such as that shown in your image. Unfortunately it's not always easy to ride primary due to the sheer number of idiot drivers who simply refuse to abide by the conditions of the Highway Code and have little or no respect for treating other road users (cyclists) as equals. Worse, it doesn't get much better when you're in a car...the sheer level of assholeness on Britain's roads is astounding.
