not entirely the drivers fault, its the shittiest excuse for a ''bike lane'; i've come across. No way of seeing past junctions, nobody gives way like they get told to. The problem here is this person is reversing outwards. Across a cycle lane. So the entire back end of the car has to cross it before they even get a chance to look for any bikes coming. You can't reverse into a main road, reversing across a cycle lane into a main road is just bonkers. If you live at this address, i feel very sorry for you and you need to write to the council to get this shit piece removed. Its awful. [the bike lane].

Also, why not assist the driver by helping check the road is clear?
In general I agree it's a bad design, one that practically invites risk not only to cyclists but also car drivers and pedestrians.
