FACTS:
1. Speed limits are just that, limits; they are NOT targets. You drive in accordance with the conditions and when faced with a speeding moron like the one shown behind you slow down to increase your stopping distance.
2. The dash-cam driver wasn't driving at 17 MPH the whole time. At the start of the video they were doing 29 MPH, slowing down to negotiate a tight MULTIPLE roundabouts in CLOSE proximity. Does it really have to be explained to you that slowing down can not only afford yourself more control, but also gives other road users more awareness of your presence?
3. Despite travelling at 29 MPH, the video shows that DE53 WCG catches up in next no time - they were going far too fast for the conditions; so fast in fact they hardly slow down for the first roundabout, having lurched into the right turn only lane then back again for straight on. This is clearly an someone driving like a prick, including attempting illegal undertaking.
4. When the idiot does manage to rage past, the dash cam driver is approaching another roundabout; this time at 26 MPH (from 30 MPH). But yet again, the idiot behind goes into the wrong, cuts across the hashed lines and whilst blazing past that sign with a RED TRIANGLE and squiggly lines - that's right: the slippery road warning (time-stamp: 01:38) as illustrated below. In fact if you looked properly you'd see this sign in other places.
Such is the stupidity of DE53 WCG at this point that they almost a) wipe out the front of the dash cam car, and b) collide with the gutter purely on account of the inertia. All of which is their doing, nobody else's.
5. After this horrendous over-take the idiot then again blasts pasts the car in front. Had that car decided to enter lane one then the idiot would have next to NO thinking time to react and would stand a good chance of under-taking into the parked red car ahead.
And throughout this, there is no indication and no tax or insurance. You however are clearly suggesting this is oK; that the problem is other people making them commit these offences.
Honestly. If you think like that then I'd question whether you are fit mentally to get into a car and drive! Blaming the person filming here, the person going about their lawful business and thinking of people's safety does mean the majority will fall for it and already the shit driver shown has got six down votes. You are painting yourself into a corner here.
