According to the pictures the driver published the speed was 20 mph on average based on the GPS location. This is 30 mph road,. So possibly the driver is causing unnecessary delay to the van driver, that may cause road rage. I do not think the van driver is too close, specially that the last picture is at 2 mph.

I suggest that you puiblish the videos from the front and back to support what you say is true. The fact is that you were driving 33% below the speed limit, that is as bad as driving too fast in my opinion. The front video to support that you had traffic in front to justify to drive so slow, and the back to show the van's heavy breaking.

The speed is displayed in each picture
At 29 mph he was approx one car length behind (the wide angle lens on the camera gives a false impression of actual distance)
The other pictures at 10/2mph show just how close he was getting as I was stopping. He braked very heavily to avoid driving into me.
I was driving at a steady speed within the limit. He failed to maintain a safe distance.
I stopped for traffic infront of me.
If he is so impatient that he is not willing to take into account what is happening on the road in front of him he should not be driving on a public road. It's called driving without due care and attention.

I would suggest that unless you want to rearrange the front of your nice shiny new blue van that you learn what a braking/stopping distance is and what it is for, and not ride right up the back end of the car in front.
(Approx one car length at 30mph)

That way you would not have to brake heavily due to the fact the car in front of you has stopped after the vehicle in front of them has stopped to give way to oncoming traffic.
Watch what is happening in front of you and back off!
