Could you not have moved over into the middle lane as you could clearly see he would soon be entering off the slip road? Then for a good minute you were in and out of the lanes yourself...

Not excusing this behaviour but do you think the van driver would have done it if you had let him join the motorway at the beginning of the clip? Were you unable to pull into the middle lane?
