05.57 AM - Thursday 27/10/2016 - Grey Toyota Avensis.
This vehicle is a grey car working for Southside Cars taxi service in Nottingham. I work as Site Protection (Basically security but includes a few other roles e.g. First Aid, Emergency Response and Lost & Found) on the Boots UK head office site in Beeston. I was out of the Gatehouse opening an exit lane wearing a bright orange hi-vis so very hard to miss, when the driver of this vehicle sounded his horn. When I approached him, I politely asked him why he felt the need to use his horn when I was easily visible and would have been with him in a few seconds as soon as I'd finished what I was doing (All I had left to do when he beeped was move 2 traffic cones about a foot to the left). To be fair to the driver, at this point he said he didn't know where I was and was trying to attract my attention. Before I could reply, the driver started hurling abuse at me including but not limited to: threatening to throw me up and down the street, stating that if he every saw me outside of "this place" (Boots) he would kill me and also called me a "dickhead in an orange hi-vis" so "don't start playing some security bullshit". After I told him that if he carried on, I would ban his vehicle from site, he stepped out of his vehicle, moved himself very close to me (I couldn't back away, I was already up against the outerwall of the gatehouse), repeated a few of his threats and then finally got in his vehicle and drove off.
If the driver of the car or the owner/manager of Southside Cars read this, in the next few hours, this vehicle will be permanently banned from site for threatening and abusive behaviour.
NB - I am security trained and hold an SIA Licence which is a necessity for the job. Also, when the driver stepped close to me, I placed my hand on his chest and extended my arm to create a safe gap between us.
