Don't key the car, use hair conditional on the windscreen, there is silicon in the hair conditional and glass is also made from silicon. ie its difficult to remove.

Yeah the parking is crap but let's not overreact here. It doesn't look like an A road. Looks like a quite side street. I doubt the parent & child have to wait all day for a 10 minute opening to walk around the car.
And the parent can use it as a life lesson for the kid too - watch out for cars.
Except on that road they may have to hang around for a while until a car actually approaches.
