Sounds like the normal power trip that happens at most slip roads. The other slip road nonsense is when the driver behind you guns it across the solid lines so that they can block you from joints the road. People are so brave behind the steering wheel.

When you say merge, do you mean you were joining from a slip road? If that's the case then it is you who needs to give way. You should always be ready to stop when joining traffic which has right of way.

Driver refused to let me merge on a road when the only other option was to do an emergency stop and wait until someone else let me out. So I started to move over and they beeped me for at least 5 seconds continuously. Like what did you want me to do? It was merge or have the driver behind me drive into me as they were trying to merge too.
