Shocking driving and an a highly exaggerated manouver by the dash cam vehicle, if he could judge spaces properly he would have known he had enough room to carry on as normal instead of swerving like a maniac

HGV driver must have nearly had a heart attack. He probably wasn't expecting a car to come towards him head-on.

Trolls can bang on about this, that and the other but it doesn't change the fact that the bad driver in this video is the car. You don't overtake when there is traffic coming the opposite direction and there is a solid white line on your side. What more is giver to say?

I would say that in hindsight, Bob is right: Larry/Sid/Troll has "no idea" and I wouldn't be surprised if in fact it's THEIR comments that have been moderated. Bob is yet another user on this site who has exposed the site troll for wasting time..how many is that now? How many negative votes does the troll need to received before it finally sinks in they're acting like a time-wasting moron who's not wanted here?

Well done Bob for taking a stand. Don't expect reason and maturity from the site troll, however. They've made it clear they don't want to be reasoned with.

That response means Larry/Sid/James has never driven an HGV and has no idea about such matters.

Have you ever driven an HGV? Thought not.

This car dangerously overtook a truck and crossed a solid white line in the process. This resulted in the HGV dash cam vehicle, which was travelling in the opposite direction, having to take evasive action which resulted in the van behind colliding with the dash cam vehicle. Police notified. Happened on A140 Brome near Eye, Suffolk, not far from the border with Norfolk.

21:34:38 Nothing of the sort. I only mentioned it seemed a bit of an overreaction. The rest of what I said was critical of the other drivers.

21:34:38 So you're saying the HGV driver put a camera in his cab to just piss about and over-react, risking not only his reputation but also possibly his job? Come off it, sunshine..as mentioned already, the party at fault here is clearly the car crossing the solid white lines.

I see many cars tail-gating HGV's on a daily basis. Same for cutting in too close, forcing the lorry to perform heavy braking whether it's on an A road or the motorway. I do not see how you can say it's usually HGV's that are responsible; perhaps in your experience but if so then why not state as such? You don't know every HGV driver.

"it is usually the HGVs that do the tailgating" - in other words you don't usually see a car tailgating an HGV because they perceive the danger.

So no, I am not extrapolating to accuse all HGV drivers. Stop reading your own pathetic agenda into other people's comments.

So James, your hypothesis is based on two registrations out of all the HGV drivers in this country...........

James, do you have an proof to substantiate your claim that it's usually HGVs that do the tailgating?

No ones likes ending up stuck behind a lorry for miles and miles on an A road but this was a dangerous and illegal overtake. The driver could see the lorry approaching but still proceeded to overtake, crossing the solid white line. Hope they get prosecuted for this.

It does look like an overreaction by the HGV driver but his load may have had something to do with it.

Bit of an overreaction by the HGV driver. If the vehicle behind collided they were driving too close. Funnily enough, it is usually the HGVs that do the tailgating!
But yes, EF51 WKS deserved to be towed behind an HGV by a rope tied round his testicles (or whatever else if femail) so I'm voting him/her down.
