The cyclist shouldn’t have took a young child on a busy road but you are right about the police, they should be solving proper crimes like solving burglaries and shutting down those scammers who target old people instead of sitting by the road with a speed gun and investigating parties.

I would never consider taking a kid out on a bike, not that's it's illegal.. I just think this country is way behind certain other parts of Europe when it comes to bike awareness and sharing the road in general. A recent article mentioned how a cyclist fell on a pot-hole and was seriously injured.. along come the trolls blaming the cyclist as well as talking about non-existent "road tax". Some also wished death. When you have this kind of attitude on the road, behind tons of metal.. it's a risk you are not going to take. Sad yes, but this is the reality many LAW-ABIDING cyclists have to face on a daily basis..
