Why do people keep taking about road tax?
It makes your arguments seem stupid. Perhaps if you were having this argument pre-1937 you'd have a point.
It's true that you can't stop someone from parking where they like on the public road network, but please stop calling it road tax when it's a vehicle tax (Vehicle Excise Duty to be precise) because it calls you out as a moron.
And now I'm off down the boozer to have a drink and contribute to pub tax.

He repeatedly parks in front of the polite notices even though we have asked him not to.on this occasion he parked at 3.00pm on a Friday afternoon when there were numerous other parking spaces but he chose to park in front of an elderly lady who requires carers 4 times a day, and he left it there all weekend while he used his other car.
