Cyclist goads and antagonises driver into assault then whines like a baby. Yes, the driver was a prick to hoot but you made a judgement that he intended to harm you if you allowed him to move. Somehow you have the ability to read drivers mind? I guess plod took that into consideration. Lucky they didn't prosecute you.

And where did I say it is OK to run over you? Nowhere. Did I defend the car's actions in any way? No. Did I criticise the car driver? Yes. It was way more than simply stopping in a lane. It was the creation of a wholy unsafe situation for the cyclist himself, and other road users that I was pointing out.

Hey folks, next time you stop in a lane (even with another one next to it), be mindful of Prohad's who's apparently suggesting it's fine to run you over.

The driver had every option to use the other lane. Intentionally using your car as a weapon is a criminal offense. And the cyclist's judgment was right: when they moved they intended to injure or kill him. Don't like the laws of the road then don't drive, but do what this driver did and expect consequences.

I'm not a troll. I am a cyclist. I am not anti cyclist. I am stating the bleeding obvious. Blocking traffic in the middle of a junction with a green light was reckless behaviour that could not be justified by an assumption about a driver's potential danger based on him tooting his horn. Does not for a second excuse the driver.

I am not SidJames. I am a cyclist myself and not from the anticyclist brigade. There is nothing excusing the actions of the driver and the cyclists approach to the lights was exemplary. But the cyclist, taking the law into his own hands by mindreading the future actions of the driver based on a honk of the horn, stopping traffic in the middle of a green light is bonkers. If the cyclist is deluded enough to believe that this has created a safe situation, he should not be on the roads at all.

Piss poor service attitude from the police in this instance and heads should roll IMHO

And as for the fine - justice is a joke in this country
