There is a reason people do this doesn't make it right, though. They're so afraid of anything happening to their vehicle, that they deliberately take two spaces so that there is a wide amount of empty space on either side...a scratch-free zone. Again - doesn't make it right, and I find it most irritating.

People are just too precious about their cars. I know they can cost a lot of money but they are all ending up in the scrapper.
