Always nice to have a civilised debate instead of calling each other names, though I see others have already started the childish behaviour.
I don't think you need to apologise for anything. Good on you for admitting that you got it wrong, most people don't have the balls to do that. I think sometimes when we see a video clip online, our minds think differently to if we were behind the wheel driving, if that makes any sense.
I agree that it's always better to put your foot on the brake pedal instead of ploughing ahead because you've got right of way. I mean, who really wants to deal with the hassle of a collision, even if you are in the right. Even more so if it means having to sort out an insurance claim with a bad driver.

I get what you're saying and the camera car could have let the other car out without making much impact on his progress. I do think a bit of give and take is needed in busy cities but the thing is, the other car was only in a more advanced position because he tried to cut in front of the camera car and you're not supposed to pull out in front of a car that has right of way if it means they have to brake or deviate, which is exactly what happened. It's not like the camera car came speeding around a blind bend and the other car was already making the turning.
If I was driving the camera car I think I would have just let the Peugeot go but if I was driving the Peugeot I wouldn't have tried to cut in front of the camera car.
Either way, the driver of the Peugeot had an attitude problem but I know you're not disputing that.
