Lock up flytippers and crush their vehicle then make them clean up highways on foot for a year.

Fly-tipping is bad. But what pissed me off was last night on Channel 5 Star I think it was.. we had this council litter enforcement talking about fly-tipping and litter dropping as though they were the same. They are not. Furthermore these little important people were going round the streets and entering shops? Following a woman with a pram into a store. They are not supposed to do this.

Furthermore several people offered to pick up what was on the floor.. they were refused. They were fined £100 pound.

This is Bristol Council enforcing this regime and I think it's draconian. By all means, go after people who fly-tip but don't act like little Hitlers picking on easy targets (I note every person they stopped/accosted on the street was white and smartly dressed?) and don't invent your own rules and laws to suit your pocket.

To everyone else. These people have no more power than you or I. Walk away. Do not engage with them. Walk into a private property - they are NOT allowed to enter. Either that or get on a bus, get in a taxi.. but walk away. They should not be harassing people.

If they block, touch or in any other way threaten you then that's grounds to defend yourself accordingly. Unless there is a PCSO or police officer at hand they cannot do a single thing and even then, there has to be evidence.

Littering is bad for sure, but this? Shove it where the sun doesn't shine.

Anyway, if the person shown is accused of said, then have you got any footage? Witnesses? I reckon this will get worse, as councils are now rationing use of their refuge sites.. again, I consider this draconian. It's not about fighting a disease they can seldom identify, it's about control. That's all it is.

That Bristol Council 'warden' appears to have a grossly inflated sense of authority.

Ref Litter 'wardens'

I believe The show was called 'Filthy Britain SOS'. I saw this show and agree, the operatives did appear to over-step the mark, with the producers eager to imply they have the same authority as police - they don't; they are not the police.

One surly woman was reading the riot act (you have the right to remain blah blah) to an unsuspecting target; another did follow someone into a private store, which they were not allowed to do; in another instance they crowded round a young mother peacefully going about her business. Such tactics are addressed on many a social media and video hosting site but the most important thing to remember is this. As with TVL 'Goons', you do NOT have ANY interaction with these operatives and you simply walk away. They can only follow you to a reasonable extent. They can't touch you. They can't arrest you. They cannot threaten you. The moment they approach you get your camera out. And walk away.

Also this. Funny how I don't seem to see them in what one might call, culturally-diverse areas where there are an abundance of people spitting, openly tipping commercial waste and worse, on public streets. Maybe ask yourself, why do these operatives seem to target the same demographic?

Anyway sorry to detract from your complaint. As mentioned maybe you have video footage? It's hard to get some context from a single shot., maybe you can help.

Has said allegation been reported to the police? Any before anyone moans no, I am NOT defending fly-tipping; I simply believe in due process and the rule of law applying equally to all.
