The police have the footage of the CCTV. The funny thing it they are having problems finding the car? Thats why its been put on this website. I can not go any further than that at this point of time.

Thanks for the update. It does sound serious. Did the police give a crime number and promise to provide an update? Does the store have some CCTV?
The reason I was asking for info was because I feel it is difficult to comment purely on the basis of a static image and words.. if someone say accused you of something I'd ask the same questions. So I hope you see it as just me trying to be fair to all and to go on the basis of innocent until proven guilty rather than the other way round. Hopefully the matter will be resolved. Thanks again.

Can you please provide more detail? I see nothing here proving the man pictures is a shop-lifter. Innocent until proven guilty and if this were a case pending, you might be doing the wrong thing posting this on the Internet. Just my opinion.

Not wanting to stereotype but with it being a BMW and black with blacked out windows - I'd put more money on a bet I could guess the exact profile of the shoplifter than I would of the queen passing in the next 20 years.

The item he is holding is what he stole. He was asked to go back into the shop but backed out and drove at the security guard. The police were rang but did not get there in time. As for BMW it just happened to be the car he was driving. The price does not matter but to drive at a guard that had to jump out the way is a matter that should be addressed.
