Nothing happened in the 5 minutes before. You can see at the very start of the video that the Astra joined from the sliproad. The Astra's only purpose in being there is to create an accident. The driver of the dashcam car and the other Vauxhall did nothing wrong at all.

Totally agree. Fraction of a second, less than 20 feet braking distance.
Looking at the camera position must be a large goods vehicle.
If the blue Vauxhall had not been able to pull over to the near side lane he would have been right in the back of it.
Having said that why did the black car stop like that?
