If there are no injuries, then don't go to the hospital but do report it to the police and Uber too. Could also be worth contacting your local newspaper.

Do you have a description of the driver?
Has the company been contacted?
Was there a camera in the car?
Do you have any confirmation details regarding the agreed journey? Whatever you do keep them: they should hopefully verify exactly who was driving.
I would make a point of going to the hospital to report and assault and reporting it the police. If what you say is true then the driver needs to come forward as clearly their actions are completely unacceptable.

I cannot believe this has just happened. An Uber driver picked us up from club 195 in Epping which is a 20 minute drive from my house. He took a detour and drove in the opposite direction to our destination, when I realised I asked him to turn back as I noticed we were nowhere near my home address. He continued to drive whilst quadrupling our fee, furious, we cancelled our journey.. he then became very aggressive and told us we had to leave his car instantly. He stopped the car and immediately got out, opened the back door where me and my friend were sitting and started hitting my friend in the back of the car whilst yanking at her seat belt. He then physically threw us out of his car and dumped us in the middle of nowhere down a deserted road in the early hours of the morning.
