I would stay either further forwards in front of all traffic OR further back between cars. Both would have limited the likelyhood of ending up in a driver's blind spot. Drivers would fail a test for this, but still, I think it's a very stupid and dangerous design to effectively force merge everyone together like this, on a narrow bend.
