My analysis of this video.
I do not think the driver was aiming at anyone. I feel that they were towards the right possibly in order to avoid cutting up the cyclist.
The video shows the group crossing after the lights haev turned green. Yes, they have priority but NO, it's never a good idea especially with children and other more vulnerable people.
Further, if you slow the video down you can see that the majority of the group make it to the central refuge as the car is braking. However, one tall male decides to how can I put it "hang about", in protest over what he may have perceived to be the close proximity of the car. It is my opinion that the driver wasn't aiming for them but didn't reckon the lone individual loitering in the road in protest. Should the driver have allowed a bigger gap? You be the judge..
