And like you say, you do NOT have to be going fast to face seriously injury. I saw someone come off at a low speed, they flipped over landing on their neck and couldn't breathe..I had to keep them upright to clear the airway (including blood). Scared me it did. They make it through although they had to spend months in surgery and have scars. I stopped riding pushbikes because it's too dangerous, and I am gonna stop riding motorbikes for the same reason. This country is too crowded and there are too many idiots on our roads.

I go along that route 5-7 times a week, motorcycles are allowed in that lane and the signs confirm it. The car passes me outside a police building so I see police stuck in traffic all the time as I pass them, never have they had a word with me. In fact my license is spotless after 15 years of riding and never had a fine as I pass the bus lane cameras.

In all my years of riding I've never seen anything like it! As soon as the lights change, I accelerate quickly enough to put me well in front of cars, but this guy felt like flooring it and was driving within inches of my rear wheel. As I went towards the right hand lane he passed far too closely, and if I hadn't have checked my mirror he would have knocked me off and probably carried on going. After speaking with him, apparently it was me that nearly hit his car and me that cut into his lane!
