Had the tupid woman not decided to walk into traffic then open the door when it was unsafe to do so then the ca would have just drove past without any issue.

Yes when overtaking parked cars the Highway Code does state something like "not get too close to the vehicle you intend to overtake" but who does this? it's not law!

IMHO it's 50/50 insurance split but that woman needs educating about "dooring" with a Section 59 (if it happens again she would be forced to pass an advanced driver test before being allowed to drive again)

They're both to blame and equally incompetent.

No car should be driving that close to someone stood in the road.

No pedestrian should be stood in the road or open their car door & step out into oncoming traffic!
