People take their kids in numerous forms of transport. People also walk with them. I take it you're not actually aware of the statistics regarding pedestrian injury? The point being there's danger in all walks of life..statistically being a pedestrian is even more dangerous.
Now, back to the subject matter..or would you instead prefer to loiter in the realm of the straw man you're trying to construct?
My opinion is you shouldn't tar all cab drivers with the same brush.
