I've never understood how someone in a car can sit that close to a person on a bike. Like if you hit them you're protected, they aren't. No seatbelt, no crumple zone. You'll be the one walking away from it with blood on your hands if something goes wrong.

It's the main reason I gave up two wheels, including cycling. You can say all you want about laws, safety and common sense.. it flies out the window the moment you get people like this. Yes we all make mistakes, but a lot of the time it's deliberate. Maybe one day technology will play a bigger part in getting them off the roads for the safety of the general public.

You should drive around places like Smethwick and other Birmingham areas.. you get this all the time. They seem to think they own the roads and can use a vehicle as a weapon. It's as if they got their license out of a Christmas cracker.
