This is possibly one of the most common scenarios I encounter whilst one a bike.. being over-taken whilst over-taking stationary vehicles. It can be quite a scary experience. I think the person who over-took the cyclist here is basically being a prick on purpose.. their proximity to the cyclist is shocking, and this done whilst driving a large vehicle. The cyclist could have toppled, skidded or veered for any number of reasons and they wouldn't have stood a chance, that would have been it. It appears the driver was way too close before the cyclist initiated the over-take, and just didn't want to stop no matter what.
To make matters worse the driver then again over-takes way too close, then veers in and out of the bus lane whilst braking - this driver DESERVES to be filmed for tje sake of public safety.
p.s. to the cyclist. I think you made an error tying to under-take the vehicle merging after the lights (ref: 04:13). I realise your desire to seek resolution but what you did put you in the blind spot of the van driver, who was doing absolutely nothing wrong. Don't do it - your life is too important.

Aggressive driver, passes closely to cyclist, weaves about on the road and brake checks a cyclist. When the cyclist confronts the reckless driver he gives him the middle finger.
