For a start, if the driver is going to rev like this one did (this was not a speeding up or changing gear rev this was a loud over the top rev that wasn't needed for either of those things) it can still just be as dangerous as passing me too close or too fast. Doing 2/3 things to pass horses safely does not mean they have passed me safely there is still that 1 of a chance of causing an accident. There was no need to rev like they did. And no not to make me feel validated- to keep from spooking my horse and therefore making me feel safe. Who said the world revolves around me? I have as much right to be there as a car, and therefore I must be treated with respect and thoughtfulness on the roads as I am a vulnerable user. This isn't about who has more power/right on the roads, this could be life or death for me, the driver and my horse. Get out of this "driver's are superior mindset".

The world does not revolve around you, get off your high horse (pun intended) the person was kind enough to pass wide and slow but with a loud car the alternative is to simply start driving at 3 mph - because it would make you feel validated?

This driver passed me on my horse and while they did a fab job of passing me wide and slow, as they came in front they revved and sped off, whether this was from ignorance or malice I couldn't say. Remember always put some distance between your car and the horse and rider before resuming speed, don't risk spooking my horse into causing a terrible accident.
