I think I know this stretch of road.
Picture doesn't show it all. That's an uphill coming out of a valley. After that left bend, it goes into a right hander. You cannot see what is coming from the road ahead.

OK, the white lines are around the same length of the van, around 6M, theres PLENTY of space for a van to overtake 2 cars, especially when dithering about on the road.

Good job posting this. What possessed them to do such a thing? It's obvious there's a blind bend with a turning.. anyone coming round the bend wouldn't stand a chance especially those on two wheels. And yet how many times do we witness such reckless, dangerous idiocy? I see it a lot on my travels.
