Number 4 in the worst drivers ranking in March 2016
It obvious what happened. The first lorry didnt want to be overtaken by the other one so he went to the max speed he could to make it difficult. The highway code states that you should not impede someone wishing to overtake you.As for the guy driving the car, throw away his licence as he doesnt deserve one.
This happened because 2 fuckwit lorry drivers wanted to play 'convoy' and slow every vehicle to their pace. Fucking fuckwit thick cunts paid to drive - poor thick pair of cunts who have no future or possibility of aspirational offspring.
All lorry drivers should stay in the slow lane as that the same level of mental acuity they possess.
Also, what are you opinions regarding the driver of NC54XWW? Do you feel they are justified? Even if there was some element of foul play do you feel it justifies making a bad situation even worse? Please imagine for a second, the consequences of at least one lorry spinning out of control as they try to avoid the car in front..then imagine what happens when the vehicles behind the lorry get sandwiched into the trailer. Imagine what happens should a fire erupt and people are trapped in their vehicles, with more vehicles piling up being them. Pretty horrible isn't it. Life is too short and too fragile to be risking it in such a manner..the car is clear of the danger; if there is a problem why not call the police and let them deal with it? Seen no end of video's whereby someone has desired revenge and with disastrous, and sometimes lethal, consequences..
I think you're being highly presumptuous and very unfair. There is no proof the lorry driver wanted to "play convoy".. there could be a multitude of plausible, reasonable, reasons for them being in that lane. And to assert that "all" lorry drivers should stay in the slow lane because of their mentality? Come on 'Me', that's just unfair. I see countless drivers behaving badly but I don't tar all drivers with the same brush, especially based on nothing but speculation. And surely you realise that there are times slower-moving vehicles have to move out of the slow lane, especially on motorways? Driving a lorry is sometimes a hard, thankless job with long hours.. they're delivering the goods for industry and consumers day in, day out.. and yes, there are idiot lorry drivers; but does that mean to say all lorry drivers are idiots? I don't think it does. Just trying to be fair.
Hmmm..Not too sure what criminal offence the HGV drivers committed for you to believe they should be punished. Neither of them were breaking the speed limit and whilst it is very irritating when a HGV driver attempts an overtake at about 1mph difference between the two vehicles, it is still not illegal for them to do so. And also, the Highway Code consists of many advisory rules which are not legally enforceable, such as the one which you quoted.
Yes and no - if yes then so do both HGV drivers
The Highway Code Rule 168
Being overtaken. If a driver is trying to overtake you, maintain a steady course and speed, slowing down if necessary to let the vehicle pass. Never obstruct drivers who wish to pass. Speeding up or driving unpredictably while someone is overtaking you is dangerous. Drop back to maintain a two-second gap if someone overtakes and pulls into the gap in front of you.
So HGV being overtaken failed the Highway Code
Aoso HGV overtaking should be aware that all HGV's are speed restricted and therefore, in general terms and on a flat road, there will be negligible difference between both HGV's so why did they bother to attempt an overtake?
I don't condone the poor, dangerous driving of NC54 XWW but all drivers involved should be punished as they all are responsible for careless, inconsiderate driving - more so the HGV drivers because they are supposed to be professional.
Shame pieterjan was not under those wheels. Next time fingers crossed 🤞
