NC56 YVW 2016-02-23 11:24:25

Witnesses Sought. Around 08:50 this morning a Vauxhall Ventura estate silver (Reg NC56 YVW) was involved in a serious road rage attack on a vulnerable and disabled man driving a silver VW beetle convertible (Reg LR55NEU) on the westbound carriageway of the old shore ham road between benfield way and Foredown drive.

The driver of the Vauxhall had previously been seen driving erratically and aggressively cutting up cars and then braking heavily to stop on the old shoreham road (from dyke road westwards)

At 08:50 the driver of the Vauxhall described as 'tall and well built - builder like' cut up the vw (being driven slowly by a vulnerable disabled person - and the VW horn briefly was hooted). Upon this the driver of the Vauxhall left the vehicle approached the be and attacked the driver and kicked in the drivers door - the Vauxhall driver then got into the car and did a u-turn on the old shoreham road heading east (later abandoning the vehicle on the wrong side of the old shoreham road by the bottom of benfield way).

Anyone with details or witnessing this please advise Sussex police using crime reference SXP-20160223-0260

The driver of the VW received minor physical bruises but has been left in a state of panic and may never drive again due to this.

I also witnessed this from in front of the altercation but due to zigzags I could not stop until some 200m further west. Photo is of the abandoned Vauxhall
