Ash is a terrible overrated driving instructor (and driver) who is basically in love with himself, He seems to think everyone is in love with him too…My mother said he looked like a gross dirty old man, and when alone in the car I did feel in my mind that was somewhat the case as it was always in my mind all the time EVERY LESSON…
He is also just plain creepy who in the 10 lessons I had made me feel very uncomfortable with totally inappropriate jokes and small talk along with unwanted innuendoes, I just wanted him to shut up as it was awkward for me as an 18 year old at the time.
My mother joking about Ash said that she didn’t trust him because he has very petite tiny hands and small feet with eyes far too close together, I dismissed that at first as banter but now i agree, creepy, sweaty men seem to always have eyes too close together and very small hands and small feet just like Ash has. Just my thought after it was pointed out to me.
In person when youtube cameras are not running he is the complete opposite to the softly spoken mild manor man he portrays on youtube, Too me he was rude and even somewhat verbally abusive, After 10 lessons I had to leave due to innuendos and inappropriate jokes, I found him to be a creepy gross guy and never felt safe or comfortable around him, I left Ash and found an awesome lady who got me through my test in another 12 lessons, she made me feel comfortable and very confident from the first lesson (THAT WAS NOT THE CASE WITH ASH)
I even went back to her after I passed for extra lessons for motorway driving. She even gives classes on how to best handle road rage incidents that you may encounter on the rounds and defensive driving to avoid these situations in the first place. With Ash I just always felt useless and never good enough so it broke my confidence.

i had been visiting the liverpool area for a week from my local and much much better behaved drivers from my lovely home in Wells, Somerset several months back when i actually encountered this chap twice on the liverpool area roads and both times i was very unimpressed with his poor driving, frankly it was disgusting and a disgrace for a driving instructor, I can not remember the company name but I encountered him twice driving badly.
Not only did he recklessly cut across me forcing me to do an emergency stop, (i am aware this is a Lerner car but the car had only 1 occupant SO IT WAS THE INSTRUCTOR)
He was absolutely oblivious fiddling with what looked like a phone or camera inside the car.
The driver was badly behaving and was excessively messing about with what looked like a large camera or phone on a tripod device all while driving, his mind was not on the road and infact I observed him twice weave over the lines of the dual carriageway with multiple vehicles around him, This was extremely foolish, RECKLESS and illegal,
I HAVE TO SAY if this person is a driving instructor he should know much better and do better in future and stop messing with hand held devices while driving as he had not even seen me or the other cars he cut up, totally unaware i was in a vulnerable position, thankfully i was able to make an emergency stop and brake to avoid this foolish driving.
The 2nd time i saw him i observed him running a red light by powering AT HIGH SPEED though the RED light when he had plenty of time to stop he passed me well above the speed limit, i know this was the same instructor from the unique number plate and the bright red sporty GTI golf .
for a driving instructor this guy should think about other road users between lessons, put your phone and cameras down and follow the rules of the road, just because you have a sports car this is not an invitation to drive badly, too fast ignoring people and RED lights, please watch your speed also as you drove too fast, driving like a fool will not get you there much sooner.

He made me feel very unconfortable and be-littled me a lot. I had to walk away from him in the end, and he even still owes me a few lessons! I managed to book with a new instructor a week later, who funnily enough said there was nothing wrong with my driving and told me to book my test for the following month - August! What a waste of time and money staying with Ashley for as long as I did. Be weary of him dragging out lessons and putting you down to make you think you need more.
