- No. Everyone is responsible for their own actions. If someone runs a red light in a car it has nothing to do with me as far as accepting their responsibility for it. This regardless of whether I am on a bike, in a vehicle, or walking.
Perhaps if you dropped your attempts at stereotyping all cyclists you'd be able to apply a more fairer assessment of the actual situation before you.

This van driver did a sudden lane change (into a restricted bus lane) right into my path as I was cycling. Didn't even bother to check to see if the lane was clear. Claimed there was an ambulance behind him but it was extremely far behind when he changed lanes. And then he tells me that I need to move?

Incidents like this are the reason I ALWAYS cycle with two hands on the brake levers. You just cannot expect people to always see you (I am not trying to blame you for anything).
