Friday 8th june , 2:17pm on cemetery lane, llanfoist. Idiot in a modified honda civic came speeding up a country lane used by hikers, ramblers and cyclists (as the lane is part of a scenic walk around abergavenny) I heard the car coming (due to its loud exhaust) while I was walking from the allotments, so I moved to the side of the lane to let the car go past. I had to walk up onto the bank to avoid being hit by this car, as it was going too fast and almost run into me. The driver obviously didn't see me until the last minute, he braked and shouted some obscenities at me (despite the fact that he was in the wrong) this fool really needs to pay more attention to the road, rather than fitting bigger wheels and noisy exhaust to his clapped out 20 year old car. I will be contacting the police about his driving, as it was very dangerous and could have resulted in serious injuries if I had not moved fast enough to avoid being hit. I just hope he has all his car 'modifications' declared on his insurance policy
