You shouldn't be tailgating him the should you?
You deserved to hit him and get knocked out for driving like this

Oldham Private Hire Taxi Brakes Suddenly Twice

A taxi driver was caught on dash cam by driver Adam Blenkharn brake checking him twice leading up to the busy Mancunian Way motorway. Adam said "I beeped my horn as he was driving recklessly and cut back in front of me after leaving the lane. Was clearly in a rush but had no problem slamming his brakes on and then swearing at me." The incident was reported to Oldham council licensing.

So the taxi licensing authority can take action against bad driving?

The police "should" do something but as we all know what with government cuts + the sales of donuts and cream buns has increased - meaning we are unlikely to see any action from the police (a caution will be the most likely but that's the best you'll get)

The taxi licensing office however are more responsible and it seems have greater power/authority to make our roads a little safer. They are more accountable than the police.
Any bad driving incident against a taxi can be reported to the local taxi licensing and the more evidence and the worse the situation will determine what action the taxi licensing officer takes but they do log each report so if the driver gets too many they will be called in and dealt with.

Will the local taxi licensing authority actually bother to do anything about this or is it a job for the police?Professional drivers shouldn't be driving dangerously and certainly should not initiate road rage.

Pretty certain the local taxi licensing office will have a word in the drivers ear if they are notified of this idiotic driving
