30.11.2016.

IF the date of this video is correct then the public should NOT be using this car - the MOT ran out on 30.06.2014.

And if the uploader see's my comment. If you wish to make a complaint to the police then I would say I think you did yourself no favors with the swearing. Same for your video's title (ref "wanker"). You have to be more objective if you expect the police to follow this through. The MOT issue would be fine in my opinion, you got a complaint there. You also got a complaint regarding his close pass. But you may have blown the latter with the way you acted in response - try to avoid swearing, pointing rudely and shouting even though it may seem counter intuitive. Bad drivers and criminals know only too well how to use these things in their favor.

The easiest option with incidents like this with taxis is to send an email with the evidence to the local taxi licencing office.

In this instance with the threats from the taxi driver and his driving standard I'd expect the taxi driver to have his taxi licence revoked or suspended at the least.

Taxi drivers are held to a higher standard and if it was just a close pass caught on video this would have been sufficient for the taxi licencing officer to have a word with the driver and place a record on file and if another instance is recorded further "corrective" action will be taken.

What you need to remember is - it's the local authority which issues taxi permits and they have to be held accountable and therefore will not accept "problematic" taxi drivers to be a danger to any citizen. IMHO they do more than what the police would do in respect to taxi drivers.

I'm posting this because if that car is involved in a collision of any kind then, regardless of where the blame lies, the insurance may be nullified - that means you as a passenger may not be able to seek formal redress.

Don't ride in cars that shouldn't be on the road. Have a safe journey everyone.
