Can see what was happening here right from the start.. taxi driver, whether rightly or wrongly, ended up in the cycle box. Didn't like the cyclist using the box and getting in front in order to remain visible. Then tries to seek revenge by using their car as a weapon. And All that on a road that has tram tracks. Driver, you sir are a fucking cunt.

In situations like this I would advise to simply stay as far away from the car as possible. Do not gesticulate, swear or shout if you can, as this can be used against you (ref: the defence using it to mitigate the driver's actions). And can anyone please provide this cab driver's reference number? I ask because I tell you this: there is no way I would allow myself or my family to be ferried around by that person. If this is what they do to a grown man then I don't want them around my wife or my daughter..anyone for that matter. I cannot fucking believe he is allowed to continue to work for the company. It beggars belief. Neither am I trying to turn this into a car vs. cyclist rant. This driver's actions are completely unjustified and considering the risk he poses and his assault..well..if I were in charge of that taxi firm I'd sack him. Is Where are the checks and balances to ensure people like this don't end up killing people through road rage? He's lucky the cyclist didn't knock his teeth down his throat.. I know I would. Bastard.

IMHO clearly the taxi driver deserved a ban and to pass an extended driving test before being allowed to drive again and to not work as a taxi driver.
Sadly we live in a country where criminals get more protection and consideration than the victims.

I will apologie straight away as i am uploading the video from just before the incidents start right up till i cross the road to get away from the taxi driver so i can talk to the police on the phone. I have not fast forwarded any parts, so it is over 5 minutes long. This is the same video the Police were given for evidence.
At the scene i kept the camera running until the Police turned up just incase the driver decided to try doing anything else it would provide a timeline for them. But they didn't want or need anything from after i crossed the road.
All the witnesses turned up in court today, but before we had to give evidence he decided to plead guilty.
I believe he was charged with at least one possibly two charges of careless driving, and also with assault. I will not find out exactly till i can talk to the prosecutors office.
Personally i think it should be dangerous driving as he knew what he was doing and his actions are deliberate. Careless driving suggests he was just not paying enough attention.
He was given 9 points on his license and a fine of £360 plus court costs.
