The way I saw it the car was negotiating a parked vehicle and didn't like the motorcycle being to his right. But why get near him (the driver)? Whether you're right or wrong, against a car you're gonna lose, especially if the person is angry or scared. I'd just stay away from them. When I ride a push-bike for a change I have had to deal with aggression, including violence.. wasn't me who ended up wanted by the police, because despite acting under duress I made sure I wasn't the aggressor. My view on this is the driver didn't know when to back down or just stop. He mistook the biker holding the car door shut as a weakness and thought it wa out of fear rather than understanding the biker was not interested in fighting because he knew he was a stronger lump and didn't need to prove it.

When drivers swerve and brake to affect my safety on the road I bide my time until it's possible to smash their window or wing mirror off. The police are useless unless witnesses see a crime and they report it. Then they have to follow up. These 2 left it as was but the Police should have made a decision to arrest the car driver - police are only good in life threatening situations otherwise they are just Pointless in solving any crimes.

I believe that rising above the threats was the best thing to do in this scenario. Once physical violence was expected from the car driver the gentleman on the bike acted correctly. The write up from the bike rider suggests the Police took no action which suggests they have not seen the video and that is unforgivable.

My partner is a solicitor.
The law is: if threats to kill are made in person ( not remote by phone call or made in relation to the future like 'I'll kill you when I see you' ) to make immediate concern that a threat may be carried out ( he did try and force the bike off the road straight after the 3 threats ) then the person can and should be arrested.
That is quite clear and my partner can represent the bike rider if he so wishes.
