They obviously do put traffic lights in for no reason, as roundabouts used to work well enough (and still do with give way lines). Roundabouts allow traffic to flow. traffic lights prevent flow.
And may I repeat no one died, and no one was in any danger.

"No one died" - That is the worst reason ever.
Obviously the lights are there for a reason otherwise they wouldn't be there! Probably something to do with crash rates. They don't put lights in for no reason (or for arrogant BMW drivers to blatantly ignore)

Personally cant see what the issue was. No one died He obviously could see nothing was coming and used it like any other roundabout. Traffic filters on roundabouts are a waste of space and time FOR EVERYONE and should be scrapped.
