Camera car seriously needs to watch his stopping distance behind the lorry. Even allowing a generous benefit of the doubt for camera angle, that is no way near enough. It should be two seconds, and that was well under a second. And the sad thing is, the camera car driver probably has no clue that he has done anything wrong.

Yes, that is right, the idiot in the red car is to blame! He is blocking the overtaking lane for no reason.
It is illegal to drive at low speeds without any reason on the overtaking lane!!!!
These people blocking the overtaking lanes should be banned from driving as they are the cause to all accidents and all the queuing up on motorways.
On Autobahns in Germany , cars that are driving bellow a certain speed are banned to enter the autobahns!

2. This video doesn't show how long the red car was in the overtaking lane for. Inconclusive as to whether this was an intentional road blocking manoeuvre (which sadly happens), bad overtaking timing (not using mirrors to judge effect on other road users before changing lane), or simply a small engine car not capable of overtaking quickly. More footage required.
3. There is no contact between the cars that can be seen from the angle shown here. In fact you can't see much of anything from here. The red car appears to make an adjustment to move out of the way of the overtaking car. Again, not conclusive.
4. The overtaking driver of the rear car is in the wrong. No doubt, but the facts leading up to this event are just as important for all to see and learn from.
Stay safe out there. We're all in it together and you really only have one life. I don't want to see you anytime soon at our A & E unit.

no excuse whatsoever i drive a heavy goods vehicle for the same company ,i overtook a car on an A road doing 40mph as i overtook it he sped up and held me out there for 11 seconds because i stopped and asked him what the hell he was doing without swearing or aggressive i was sacked ,17 yrs i drove for them and 33 years in total driving hgv without any prosecutions,
this guy got a years ban at a guess for dangerous driving and still managed to keep his job.
he works in head office [say no more]
