Let me start by saying I don’t condone the motorcyclist’s behaviour; specifically, his threats. He seemed eager to basically tried to drag the situation down to a physical level, possibly due to immaturity and inexperience. Whatever the case he was bang out of order and he’s so very lucky he didn’t end up on the floor. In my opinion he deserved to be given his demeanour. So I just want to get that out the way first – I’m not defending him.
I’ve watched the clip a few times and I’ve asked myself why the cyclist was all the way over to the left. I get the impression he did that because he could hear the approaching motorcyclists behind and thought they might be over-taking straight over the island. And as the Highway Code tells us, give cyclists room at roundabouts and never assume they will go where they appear to be going. Now if I were the motorcyclist it would confuse me, so basically I’d just hold back and weigh up the situation as required.
However for whatever reason the motorcyclist didn’t, instead trying to over-take the cyclist possibly because he assume the cyclist was going in the same direction (the first exit). And then he over-reacted when the cyclist remonstrated with him, especially when he discovered the cyclist made reference to having a camera. Again, his immaturity and inexperience shines through and unless he learns to curve his fists and his temper, as well as his riding habits, then I think he’s going the learn the law of karma the hard way. He had no right to threaten someone like that. None. And I’m not a violent person, but after a few incidents with people like him I no longer take any chances. I would have done my best to defend myself with force. You don’t know if he’s got a knife (or worse) and all of a sudden he’s in your face, coming closer making threats of violence. If you’d have clouted him you would have been fully justified in my opinion. Never approach people like that. Let them approach you and then you speak firmly but fairly. If they want to initiate violence after than, and you have no means of escape, and then fuck them and the horse they rode in on, basically.

Nicola, yes unfortunately people like that are for real. If you're not from the UK they're basically what is known as "Chavs". I think their type is known as Bogans in Australasian countries. They're basically just walking trouble-makers/spoiled brats who blame everyone else for the problems they create. They're pretty depressing to be around to be honest. I see them all the time, thinking they're tough. Here's another example of what chav (sub) culture does.. they may not be related to bike rider but they have the same attitude problem written all over them
The way I see it things are getting to the point now where people will use public justice. The police around our area are seen as a joke by these people and they hardly ever turn up. Late at night it's terrible (they tried to rob people in their cars the other night). But as is true of the UK, they'll stand for it and..like Brexit..there will come a point where society says that's enough. God help these assholes when they do, because I for one certainly won't be around to offer them help.
