The hard-shell saddle container was not made of leather. The biker re-adjusted it when level with my bonnet, after trying to squeeze through a gap that was too small, between me and a lorry. He could clearly not take a look at what damage he might or might not have caused. His rear hit my boot. If he had to re-adjust it after a collision then it miles more different from a handbag.
Thugs come in all shapes and sizes. He had no knowledge of what damage he might or might not have caused but instead drove away. It's therefore easy to make the assumption that you condone this behaviour by the apology you are making for someone you don't know and you were not at the scene.
"Thug" is a bit over the top, it's not like he punched your wing mirror off! His saddlebag accidently touched your car while filtering and caused NO damage. Maybe he didn't realised, maybe he did look and you didn't notice.
There is no typical biker just as there is no typical driver.
You have no idea of my attitude so please don't make assumptions.
I think your reaction to the event is over the top. Would you react the same way if a woman caught your car with her handbag or a school kids bag?
If you did report this to the police they would do nothing because there is no damage/no crime.
I'm not anti-biker. Just anti-thug who thinks he can hit a stationary car with an audible bang and then drive off. Who knows what damage it might have caused. He didn't care and didn't look and I guess this is your "pro-biker" attitude too. If you and he are typical of the kind of biker that now exists then god help us all. In addition, if I take your and his kind of attitude is normal then the lesson that I have now learned is that if ever this happens again I will not be so lenient and will report it immediately.
Motor Cyclist with black plastic saddle bag and L-plate, wearing an orange jacket/vest.
His saddlebag collided with my boot this morning at 6.20am as he tried to squeeze through stationary traffic at the traffic lights by the Beeston Place junction in Victoria, London. After doing this he re-adjusted his saddlebag by straightening it up and drove off without stopping, continuing up Grosvenor Place and then left into Knightsbridge.
Just as well this little sh*t didn't cause any damage, otherwise the next message will have been to the Police for a failure to stop.
Hardly!
Pro Biker is just an apologist for a driveway!
