This Grey Jaguar's driver has a ridiculous case of road rage, even when nobody else has done anything wrong!!

I overtook another car, at 70MPH, dual carriage way. The road ahead was clear and straight. I saw a car in my rear view mirror a long distance away, however I did note it was hogging the fast lane. I indicated in good time, and pulled out. There was zero danger in the manoeuver. For (honestly) absolutely no reason, the driver decided to put the full beam up, like someone may do if you'd pulled out in front of them. However, they were still quite a distance away when doing it! I was confused for a while, but had almost completed the overtake by the time they reached me anyway. I did note that they must have been speeding to have caught up with me that quickly. They must have been doing around 85, or thereabouts. I'd be interested to see what they were doing in the 50 zone before too, as the road behind was clear long ago!

Even if I had pulled out in front making it dangerous for them (which I hadn't), it does not justify the subsequent, and repeated, attempts at road rage. I immediately pulled back to the left lane, over after safely completing the overtake, to let the abusive driver past.

Obviously this was not good enough, because they then drove alongside me, and ever so slightly forward, matching my speed, looking like it was going to pull in front and slam on brakes. I noticed some arm movements gestured at me but ignored them.

Because they clearly were irritated at being ignored, the driver then decided to drive alongside me, hogging the fast lane again, beeping their horn about 7-8 times over the course of just about 400 yards. This went on until the entire roundabout queue had cleared. I could see the driver waving their arms about, but I chose not react, look across, or do anything in response. They tried repeatedly to intimidate me, and failed. All that they succeeded in doing was having me record their numberplate once they got far enough ahead of me, which was quite difficult, since they weren't leaving me alone.

In case you were wondering, if it was dull and my lights weren't on, and the driver was just prompting me -- it wasn't. I lit up 5 minutes later, and about 20 minutes after that, people were still about with no lights. There was nothing wrong with my car either. I have no idea why this person attempted to abuse me, but they need to calm down and learn they don't own the road. They also need to respect the speed limit as I have OBD2 and GPS sensors in my car calibrated and validating I *was* almost at the 70MPH speed limit long before being caught up.

If this driver has a response to this, and even better dashcam footage, why not let us all see you speeding, and then abusing safer drivers through intimidation? Next time you've had a bad day, do not take your anger out on other motorists who have done nothing wrong, refused to react to negative advances, and even kindly let you past. The only response you got out of me was a report, and a bad name for yourself, and a harder time trying to sell your car when someone Googles it. Next time you abuse someone, it may be a police officer who will take it less kindly than I did. If you get caught abusing others like this too, you will get points for it, or your face may appear on the Internet when someone else catches you. So be more careful.
